Would this entail it being legal.....browsing

Re: Worm
I bet a quarter of the users on this forum have some variation of the autorun.inf infection without even knowing it, I wouldn't be surprised if you do Jamin...then again I've been told you carry many A infection so I guess I should just assume it from the very beginning
Nah seriously, most decent AV's pickup the autorun worms pretty quickly and I cant say I've ever seen or heard of any malicious damage its caused, so for me personally, I don't consider it to be the biggest train smash to hit Windows...especially for a home user.
Lastly, if you're going to suggest formatting every time a minor infection like that is picked up on a system, you may as well suggest installing Linux afterwards

Re: Worm
Actually the odds of jamin having hepatitis: autorun.inf..... I can safely say if he did OZ's porn surfing will increase ten fold when he formats....ADV4NCED wrote:I bet a quarter of the users on this forum have some variation of the autorun.inf infection without even knowing it, I wouldn't be surprised if you do Jamin...then again I've been told you carry many A infection so I guess I should just assume it from the very beginning

Re: Worm
Please format your machine and install Linux.ADV4NCED wrote:Lastly, if you're going to suggest formatting every time a minor infection like that is picked up on a system, you may as well suggest installing Linux afterwards
It's attitudes like yours which annoy me with rear-end users
Hi can I copy derp.exe off your machine onto my flash drive?
*INSERT FLASH DRIVE*
!!!!!VIRUS!!!!!!
Oh that - it's nothing, I've had it on my PC forever and it hasn't hurt my machine.
Also, I am huge douche bag, so now you have it too.
Re: Worm
Lol...
Your ability to solve problems and think intelligently is obviously ZERO if everything you comes across means one should format.
Grow up Jamin, read my post again, I never once said leave the worm where it is, I was just re-emphasizing that formatting for an AUTORUN infection is ridiculous...especially in his case where it wasn't causing any major corruption or destruction of any sorts
Haha time for a reality check big guy - its not me with the attitude, I was just stating my opinion which you obviously can't handle considering it differs from yours
Cry me a river, just do it elsewhere please

Re: Worm
The OP did format his machine thus ridding himself of the virus.
I do believe that means he values my opinion higher than yours, making me the winner of this thread.
And winners don't cry
