Hi Ice, long time no see. Hoe gaan dit nog daar?
Bit hard to give suggestions if we don't know that price ranges we are talking about. 2 people budget PCs may not be the same price range.

Hey Nuke, ja man was bietjie weg,
terug in SA, nuwe rigting en dinge lyk weer half okey.
I was thinking budget should be around R5000,
mid to high end R10000

Re: Building new PC
Ja, if you're going to use it for gaming, that's a nice setup. You might want to also consider the 6850 or 6970 from AMD if you prefer that camp opposed to Nvidia.
If you're going to use it for other tasks, look at doubling or tripling the RAM. 12GB RAM is cheap nowadays. My boss bought a 12GB system the about two or three weeks ago for R8.5k.

Re: Building new PC
4 gb is good enough for gaming.but like gdi lord said if your gona be using it for other tasks like virtualisation etc then I'd recommend more ram... In regards to ati vs nvidia,I'm using a radeon 6870 at the moment and I'm trying to sell it to get a gtx 560. If I new how to post pictures from my phone I'd love to show you. But its a screenshot of alice in wonderland. With physx on there's WAY more detail than there is with no physx, its very interesting. The_jelly actually sent it to me,because he has recently moved over from ati to nvidia and and he couldn't be happier! So if I had a choice I'd go with nvidia... At the end of the day its your personal preference

Re: Building new PC
I actually suggested a PC with a budget of R10 000 to a colleague who wants a gaming PC just for BF3 after she saw the trailer. This included monitor and a Core i5 2300. The only thing it left out was a keyboard and mouse.
What I type has nothing to do with the people that employ me.
