cloud required

Post by Mclaren »

I have a single document that i want to make available over the net.

I would like to know what would be the best option. i.e who do i use, what to check for security wise etc.

I have never used the cloud so am a total noob to it.

1 doc hardly requires a "cloud".
Just upload it to any free file-sharing service and mail the link to whoever you want to get it.

This is not an option if collaboration is an essential requirement of the OP. It's only fine if the only purpose of the OP is distribution.

Dropbox claims to have the collaboration thing nailed, although I've never used it so can't comment further. Google Docs does the collaboration thing well though (in my experience, anyway). ;)

+1 to Google Docs

+1 to Dropbox

I am working on a project with some one and we are finding that Google Docs helps with everything we need. Admittedly some needs it won't fulfil but those are not my needs.
What I type has nothing to do with the people that employ me.

Ah yes, if he needs people to make changes to the doc it changes things somewhat.

Google Docs!

Dropbox-it's by far the best method for sending files across multiple networks and people.

Do you have access to the control panel of a site somewhere? Maybe you could upload the file to a directory and create an FTP account everyone could use?

Dropbox does have a handy client, however it also has a web interface, so if you can get on the net you should still be able to make dropbox work...

I have dropbox for my Android phone which means I can download and email any documents I need on the fly if needed. I like.
