Is there an app...
Is there an app...
Is there an application that will read temps from the CPU and GPU and then be able to send that data over a comms port (USB / serial / virtual)?
And lastly I need advise on fans. Which 120mm is quiet yet has a good airflow rate?
Thanks,
S

Re: Is there an app...
well regarding the app, havent heard of anything....but the G15 could do it right? almost any program could be sent to that LCD so maybe that might be a start?
with the fans though, noctua & thermalright are kings in that department so anything from them should suit your needs...
hope this helps

Re: Is there an app...
Noctua fans are amazingly quiet.
What I type has nothing to do with the people that employ me.

Re: Is there an app...
But apparently all fans are interchangable, like an antec fan won't fit on a coolermaster case? Iv only read about this on internet,so I was under the impression I'm stuck to cm fans for a cm case.

Won't fit? Donno where you been reading but all fans will fit into any case (of course depending on the size, ie 80mm coolmaster fan will fit into an 80mm fan hole on a antec case)Slimshaedy wrote:But apparently all fans are interchangable, like an antec fan won't fit on a coolermaster case? Re: Is there an app...
But I read that the screw holes were slightly different and they had to use cable ties...

Re: Is there an app...
Where did you read that?
I've plugged numerous types of fans in to a friends CM with 0 problems

Thanks for the advise. I'll go get Noctua fans when I can.
I'll also have a look at LCD smartie for what I want to use.

Re: Is there an app...
Maybe with some cheap case/fan combos the holes aren't exactly lined up... but the actual dimensions of all cases/fans "should" be the same.Slimshaedy wrote:But I read that the screw holes were slightly different and they had to use cable ties...

Re: Is there an app...
hey man, was it a review on the any of the HAF cases? i remember them using alan keys for the fan mounts...if it is then you can still use any fan in there - it jus makes it harder to put in i guess...Slimshaedy wrote:But I read that the screw holes were slightly different and they had to use cable ties...

Re: Is there an app...
IMO the only problem with noctua fans is they dont look very nice...it makes it kinda hard to blend it into any chassis cuz of the colors...other than that - they really are the most quiet fans you will ever find...Samaya wrote:Thanks for the advise. I'll go get Noctua fans when I can.

Re: Is there an app...
I just saw on some forum while I was doing research on cases I came across that problem. but I decided to first buy the case and then buy the fans afterwards... I have changed my mind so many times about which case to get!
