Re: Extreme case modding
I see absolutely no reason why you couldn't do that.
That guy that used to mod cases. Now I take photos. True story.

Re: Extreme case modding
personally, the only advantage most of these guys have, is the fact that they seem to have mini workshops right at their homes or at least they seem to have access to almost every imaginable tool you would need.
trial and error is something any1 can achieve but having the right methods of doing so, is a bit scarce here.

Re: Extreme case modding
It still takes a hell of a lot of skill to use those tools. If you've ever done something in a lathe or milling machine, its not just cutting. You need the right speed, the right angle of cut, the right lubricant. You don't see the bits that go wrong. If you don't see up your piece correctly in a lathe, it makes a hash of the material and the tools.Off-The-Chart wrote:personally, the only advantage most of these guys have, is the fact that they seem to have mini workshops right at their homes or at least they seem to have access to almost every imaginable tool you would need.

Re: Extreme case modding
ofc yes, skill plays a big roll.
what I meant is, in our case we have to rely on companies to do these types of things and if DAE's NAG mod is anything to go by, then having a company do something for you can end up in disaster.
also, if you have the access or own them yourself, skill can be acquired by the trial and error I have mentioned.
maybe not the "artistic" skill, but definitely basic know how
