Hey Team
I just got opened up Steam after well a year. I copied all the files from my old windows xp on my new pc with windows 7. NOw I opened steam, it updated a bit the I logged in and got to the basic Steam screen. I can see all my games and I says Downloading started but Steam keeps freezing then it asks me if I want to wait for it to work or to close the program.
What do I do ?
Steam again....
Steam again....

Re: Steam again....
Get used to it.
About 5 or 6 months ago, steam released an update that re-did the entire UI. While the UI might be pretty, steam has become the most unstable piece of crap software I've ever used. I LOVE steam, but the client, as it is now, is just SO unstable. I probably get those "Close or wait" windows every other day.

Yeah likewise, I can't say I've had any problems with steam since the UI updateStarBound wrote:Funny.

Definitely far better than when it was first released imho
I am 63% addicted to Counterstrike. What about you?
Re: Steam again....
Well my Steam worked fine until about a week ago. I play Counter Strike or COD and then when I am done I minimize steam. When I maximize it again and try run CS again it freezes and I have to restart steam which takes ages. Any ideas what might be wrong? Updated ATI drivers a while back, could this cause the problem ?

I have the same issue. Going to steal rusty's idea of using compatibility mode
What I type has nothing to do with the people that employ me.

STEAM works fine for me. Just annoyed at all the updates for it and TF2.
