Hah! The whole week (except Friday) I have been leaving with 2 hours overtime to my name every time. So simple math shows I have worked 16 Hours overtime this week including Saturday. So I have been doing my share of late leaving

. The scary thing though is that this is just 1 week. Last week I went back to work on Tuesday with 2 hours everyday so that's 8 hours, so my total for the month so far is 24 hours. Next week is a guaranteed 5 hours for the week with the possibility of it turning into 10 same as the week after. So in total my overtime for Jan is going to be +- 35-40 hours...

No social life...

Until the tax man wakes up the next month. Tax on overtime (from what I understand) fluctuates so if I work less overtime in December I will get taxed less on January's pay slip however in Feb I will get taxed more because of the 40 hours I worked regardless if I worked less in Feb.

I struggle to explain how it works but this is what I have noticed on my pay slips.

Then work a lot of over time all the time and you will have the money to cover the extra tax
