Re: Advice on Gaming Mouse
It's not that we don't recommend it, we just haven't used it. From our experience (and by 'we' I mean Acid and myself), we can recommend either the G5 (and generally speaking the MX518), the copper head, Lachesis (and to a lesser extent the diamondback- we don't have any experience with it).
Lots of people will have different things to say about different peripherals and manufacturers- it all comes down to the users own previous personal experience. In the end, I suggest you try and track down any of the mice you are interested in, and see if you can maybe try them out for a couple of minutes or so, just to get a feel for it.
Generally, the Logitechs and Razers are all excellent (those mentioned anyway) I really can't comment on the other brands. Oh, and no, you probably won't be disappointed with the Naga, so go for it

Re: Advice on Gaming Mouse
To alleviate the pointer movement while switching you need to get yourself a decent pad. Razors Destructor pad is brilliant for it. I have one with my Lachesis and without overstating it, it completely removes the issue out of the equation. The surface is a Kevlar weave with a Teflon coating. It is so brilliant that I can blow on the Lachesis without exerting myself and make the mouse glide over the surface. It is sturdy enough not to give way when you press a button and thus won't cause the pointer to shift in the process. I would recommend the Naga basically because it is the Lachesis just with a couple of extra buttons. And dude I am envious if you do end up getting one. On the Destructor pad also comes with a protective casing in which to store it if you move it around. Which is cool for me as I slug it to work and back. Just can't work with the stuff the company provides.

Im getting myself this pad with the Naga. On the website everyone complements the pad for excellent tracking with the Lachesis. So it will work great with the Naga too!
I will post some pics and so on when it arrives ! Very excited!

Re: Advice on Gaming Mouse
Err no. Don't go that route unless you want to sit with issues. The issue being that the cloth depresses as soon as you try to make a button press. So it gives way and in so doing you inadvertently move the mouse around fractionally because of it. The higher the DPI and polling cycle the more pronounced it becomes. So if possible stay away from any soft surfaces which could give way. Hence my reasoning behind saying that the destructor is about the best pad you will get with any Razor mouse.

Re: Advice on Gaming Mouse
I use the Gigabyte mouse pad at the office and its brilliant. Really impressed with it.
My general rule is not to go for cheap. At home I have the Steelseries QcK Heavy. Its massive and thick, both are qualities i like in a mouse pad.

Re: Advice on Gaming Mouse
Hi all. Please can somebody tell me where I can buy the R.A.T. 7 ? PCF refers to Comet Computing which in turn seems to refer to Saitek ... which is down. Seeing as I never win anything (enterred the comp in PCF a couple of times) - lol - I will have to buy one I reckon.
Re: Advice on Gaming Mouse
well changed my mind, found out how to change the dpi of my Diamondback 3G.I wouldnt recommend the Razer , I have one and it, well squeaks if I click. My friend has the same problem and they dont have a Dpi changing Button!
