Anyone else used Gravatar?

anyone else using gravatar?

After reading about the drama over grouply, I am reluctant to link any of my accounts and in this case, Facebook, to strange or new services. but I was playing around in Wordpress, trying to link my blog to Facebook and it wants to connect with a service called gravatar.

A Google search suggests gravatar is harmless enough but I wondered what others experiences were?

I used it once a few years back and then forgot about it. It still has my picture there though, because every now and again blogs, etc. that use Gravatar show my picture when I post comments and stuff. Never noticed anything sinister, but as I said, it's been yonks since I really used it.

Yep, I have an account that's used to post comments on various sites that I frequent. Never had any problems
