So it's all just literally transmitted over the air with the music?

Yes - it is sent alongside the signal - all FMbands can do this. I have edited my post - perhaps it makes more sense now.

Okay, I was just wondering.

To the Steam question. This may be a stupid question, but I'd like to just be sure before I do something daft.

If I want to get the new MOH game, but I know someone who has the physical media already, can I buy the game on Steam and use the serial they give me to install it from the physical media rather than downloading? Or do I have to download the Steam version to use with the Steam key?

There is a bit of a trick to it but you can. I did it with both Mass Effect and Unreal Tourney, You just install, copy the game's files to your steamapps folder (after letting the steam dl run for a few minutes to create the directory), and then use Steam to check the game's file integrity, it does a small update to files that differ but the dl is far smaller than downloading directly.

Ah, cool. I shall mayhaps give it a try then. Would much prefer it if it just worked straight out the box. :(

Stuart, just read your question again - I've never actually tried using the Steam serial with a retail copy,I have tried retail serials with Steam though and only a few work, so maybe just give it a shot and see!

I'd rather not "just give it a shot and see." I only want to do it if I KNOW I can avoid downloading the game. Otherwise I'll just buy it from the shops.

Lance locked Ron's thread. How are we supposed to show our appreciation now? :(

RAD was yesterday. You can show your appreciation anywhere you want. Wear that little black number that he likes so much. We'll have another RAD next year.

Ron Appreciation Weekend? We'll let you two organise that. It can be a more intimate occasion.

You can set up a trust fund account in Ron's name and then pass out the details to everyone interested in signing a debit order for a certain amount every month. 20 People donating R50 a month would give him a R12 000 bonus at the end of the year.

That would, of course, effectively make him a prostitute collecting an annual allowance.

Why do you want to make Ron a *****? Do you not like him?
