Stan Lee urges gamers to contest proposed violent gaming law

Post by Drakonis »

Listen to Stan
Stan Lee, of Spiderman; Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk fame, has drafted and posted a letter to gamers on the Video Game Voters Network website urging them to stand up for their First Amendment rights by opposing a California law that could see the sale of gaming content restricted

We'll give guns to the modern warfare players, mollies to the left 4 deaders, super powers to the mortal kombat and street fight crowds and full control for the starcraft players.

I dont see the point in this law. Only that someone wants extra money for something and it should be treated as such. There are already age restrictions on games so they just need to be enforced and sadly its 1) the shop selling its responsibility and 2) the parent of the person buying the game if he/she isnt of legal age for the restriction. If your gonna censor gaming or the entertainment industry it wont be long until you hit movies then news media.

This is america though. Maybe its time to get out and start producing in europe.
