Re: Advice on PC spec
yep the 5770's are very good in crossfire - jus bear in mind if your runnning them @ 8x / 8x speed or @ 8x / 4x speed cuz the latter would give you problems man - in that case go for a single card....
[Core i7 930] [12GB Corsair Dominator CL8 XMP 1.65v] [Asus Rampage II Extreme] [Sapphire HD5870 Eyefinity 6 Edition 2GB DDR5] [Corsair HX-750W Modular] [32GB OCZ Onyx SSD] [3TB Seagate Barracuda's] [Coolermaster Cosmos S] [Coolermaster Sickle Flow 120's] [Logitech G11] [Razer Death Adder 3500DPI w/ Razer Goliathus Fragged Alpha Sized] [Logitech Z2300 THX] [Samsung Sync Master 2494HS 24" LCD]
Re: Advice on PC spec
They could compete in some games and others not, all depends on how well the game scales across both cards...
Re: Advice on PC spec
Benefits of a single card:
1) Less power draw (usually) and less heat production (usually)
2) Leaves a PCI-E slot open for cheaper future upgrades
3) Less chance of micro stutter in games
Benefits of using a budget multi card system:
1) Possibly better performance for less or the same money
2) Um..
So, if your have two options; one a single card and the second a multi card system that gives the same performance for the same money, I'd go with the single card option every time.

Re: Advice on PC spec
When it comes to graphics design, low budget pcs or even low budget gaming pcs I am at a loss. I need a big slice of humble pie to bring me down again or just look at what a ps3/xbox can do with less effort than my pc.
Re: Advice on PC spec
DO NOT GET A HUNTKEY PSU!!!!
I saw a review of the 550watt version and it EXPLODED when they tested it!

Re: Advice on PC spec
hey there Puento
i found article you were talking about and it seems it only relates to the 550W "green' and 'energystar' psu's.
but thanks for the warning though, will keep an eye (or two) on it.
