Not an easy task but a well-deserved award for a processor that manages to be a thorn in the side of the Intel Core i7 980X, which is simply the most powerful processor around. I have one of these, they work great, stock HSF is too loud for my taste( seeing that my rig is open and run it @3.3 ) . With things like photo-render the extra 2 cores work like a charm. Hoped for a better 3D Mark '06 score tough ( 20,000' ish is the best). The part that sold it was the price......cracking value that

we can never comment on the stock HSF because we receive our CPUs in trays.

Stock usually covers the basics, It's well put together with the heat pipes and all. Just get the feeling it's a bit weak for the 125W TDP. Thankfully an effective basic cooler is pretty cheap, like a Deepcool or a TX3.
