Obviously something to do with Adobe. What do you need to know exactly?

Perhaps your Adobe reader or some Adobe product installed is doing updates?

Yup, definately updates.

You should be able to disable it. To lazy to confirm this, but either:

1. Look in all your adobe applications settings area for anything to do with updates. Turn off or disable it.
or
2. Look in your "msconfig" under processes or services for anything that says Adobe Updates. Untick them and restart system.

I don't recall these updates using a lot of bandwidth though? So you shouldn't actually need to disable it.

Perhaps the update is trying but failing to download and consistently retrying? Try doing the Koko thing and see what happens. If it doesn't work, then you have a slightly more significant problem.

Open your Adobe product, click on Help, Check for Updates, Let it Check, Click on Preferences and Untick Automatically Check for Updates.

Easier solution. Somewhere in Program Files (I think) there has to be a folder with Updater1.exe and/or Updater2.exe (you get the idea). Delete those executables and be done with the scum forever.

If this is happening on 350 PCs, then disabling the service on each computer is going to take a looong time. As you say, talk to your IT admin and have him block the IP. If any future updates become necessary for some reason, then they can be distributed by email or something.
