Finland makes broadband connectivity a ‘right’

Post by Drakonis »

Time to relocate?
As of 1 July this year every citizen of Finland will have access to a 1Mbps (one megabit per second) line according to a new law that has made broadband access the right of every citizen in the country. At present the minimum speed that broadband providers must offer is 1Mbps but the Finnish government is adamant that every citizen will have a 100Mbps connection by 2015
