Seen them play a couple of times. Checking them out again in a few weeks at the Metal4Africa winterfest. Going to be legendary.

For some more quality SA metal you should check out A Walk with the Wicked

Definitely not metal. Just same old same old metalcore. :) I'll personally buy and give a branded frisbee to the first metalcore band that does something original. If I hear a simple chord progression repeated under some high pitched singing again, followed by a breakdown, Im going to vomit!

Lol, metalcore they are, but metal in the long run is metal, henceforth why I categorise them in the same criteria...anybodies input on the new Parkway Drive album? I think it's meh...the vocals sound too similar on each track...

Aaaaaaah :D Man.... I love that album so much. Mine actually arrived from the states a few days ago (My second one, at least. I ended up ordering a few, and the first one that arrived went to the GF, and I took my own from the second batch :P ).

Seriously though, that album is certainly the best music I've ever heard, with Constellations (August burns red) coming in at a close second. I don't care how "simple" it is (cappy :P ), it makes my heart warm, and that's what I want.

I want to tell you guys a funny quote that my girlfriend made a few weeks ago, but here's some background first. I was actually never into hardcore music before a couple of years ago, when Underoath were here. In fact, Capanno actually played some ABR for me about 2 years ago and I didn't like it. Then I met my girlfriend about a year an a half ago, and she loves hardcore music, probably more than any of us here. Anyway, a few weeks ago we were driving and listening to that new Confide album, when she said "Look, Confide can break it down, but August Burns Red, they broke it". Hahahaha! She adored ABR. Seriously, there's nothing as awesome as having a girlfriend that's more into YOUR music than you are.

I think you have it the wrong way around! You are into HER music. :P But yeah, ABR are the kings of breakdowns, but their riffs and general guitar work is fantastic as well.

Got the new Avenged Sevenfold album, Nightmare. It's alright so far, alot more mellow that usual. It's a bit of a tribute so their drummer, the Rev who they lost last year and it shows...but a pretty kewl album it is.
