I see that one of our online stores in Windhoek are selling one of the new 8-series Samsungs, don't think it's 3D though.

As you can see, very cheap. :D

If you had to choose between a 25" and a 27" that both have resolution of 1920x1080 which would you take? The specs are really not very different apart from pixel pitch 0.288mm versus 0.311 mm. I don't know what that is or how it will affect viewing pleasure

I would always go for the larger screen. My 27-inch is awesome! I don't think from 25-inch to 27-inch you'll notice any difference in picture quality apart from contrast ratio. If you go from a 32-inch to a 55-inch TV, that's obviously a different story, but 2-inches in an LCD won't make a difference. I would go for the 27, hands down.

I think that's what I'm going to do, but how do I explain to my wife spending R6000 on a screen... Ah wait I'll tell her that Sims 3 and Grey's Anatomy (the game) is going to be better!

if you dont live in Durban and they dont want to send it to you - its easy - get someone you know in Durban to buy it for you - then they can send it via "time freight" couriers to you wherever in the country - it should cost less than R300 for courier costs - ive sent 30 kilo subwoofers in packaging twice the size of the monitors box for around R300 to joburg and cape town as well

Bought myself a Samsung Series 5 for my bedroom this weekend. I don't know how long manufacturers have been offering this, but the coolest feature must be the USB port which allows you to connect media directly to the TV and play movies, music and pictures directly off the drive. The remote even has controls for playback. Freakin BRILLIANT!

32". R6k from Makro. They also had a 32" LED Samsung for the same price, but it was HD Ready, whereas the the one I got was full HD.

O'hai there.

Between Samsung and Acer, which 24 inch LCD's do you recommend? Reason I ask is that I see IC is selling monitors between R1900 and R2500 now. And I'm sort of thinking about getting one, any favourites?
