Need a new graphics card

Hi Guys

I have about R1500-R2000 and really need to play games. I have crysis, cod4 and so on.

My current specs are:

intel 2.2 duel core
2gb ram
1tb hard drive
nvidia 6800 gf
400w power supply

In that price bracket I would definitely say HD 5770...

Hang on are you running AGP or PCI-E?

sorry guys, i made a mistake. My specs i am running for my current gaming is

intel 3 ghz
1gb ram
nvidia 6800 AGP
17" crt monitor

I also have a:

intel 2.2 duel core
2gb ram
1tb hard drive
Graphics: on board
400w power supply

which i am not using now because i cant play games on it with the on board gfx.
So i need to get a pci E gfx so i can connect this pc and use it to play,

Well AGP cards are expensive and rare.

You would be looking at a new machine in all honesty as you are a few too many generations behind.
Soon Google will know everything...including how to divide by zero :(

Best would be a new system, but if you can only afford a graphics card, then the ATI 5770 would be your best bet as Ryan said. Hopefully your power supply will be able to carry the load, but it should be ok I think.

I would say the HD5970 is the best value for money and will be good for 5 years at the very least

To the OP, bottom line is, if your PSU will handle the card then go for an HD 5770. It will definitely tide you over until you do a complete system upgrade, and it will be about 100 times better than your onboard graphics...
