Does anyone on this forum have a blog site?

Post the URL in this thread so that me may read each others work.

I think that this new form of self expression is exciting. I am in the process of creating my own blog.

Blogs look like nothing more than online journals, encompassing the details of one's life, usually from day to day... I fail to see why anyone would want to know the details of my humble existance. :eh:

Blogs are more than that. A blog is not only an online journal, it can be if you want it to be that, but it can also be a political standpoint or you can show off your artistic talent by publishing your works on a blog. I have a blog where I plan to put my short stories on so that people can read them and tell me what they think. For example got to www.blogsforbush.com is a site dedicated to the support of George W. Bush.

In short, a blog is what ever you want it to be.

I read in one of the sunday papers that VLOGS are fast becoming popular. People are posting videos of their lives etc.

If only we had the bandwidth for that....

I have a blog too, it's callled "DAE_JA_VOO's Case Mod". It's on this very forum and you have probably read it or gone into it once. Every case modder who has a project log has basically created a blog.

However, i would never create a blog that just describes how my day was, in my opinion, that's just silly.

I agree, talking about your day is quite lame, but be honest nobody really blogs like that ? If there are any who are they and where ?
People just tend to blog about anything they find interesting or just anything really. My blog is about technology and stuff.

I have a story-blog where I occasionally upload some of my work to.

However, I don't update it much. I do change the date whenever I do, though

I'll be honest though, my blog was never based entirely on my every day life. I posted and discussed certain topics or observations. It was pretty cool

If blogs weren't so isolated, I'd probably still do it. Today, the internet is less about having people visit your site than it is about having your content pushed to them. With the world of facebook now, though, I feel that that's good enough. Most of the content I share isn't all that relevant to people who aren't my friends, and 99% of my friends are on facebook; so if I'd like to discuss something, I just do it on facebook, and it's basically "pushed" to all my friends

I wish we could go back to the days when people kept diaries. Remember those?
They were books you blogged in. But only you ever read them. That way, innocent people were not driven into suicidal rages by your random, uninteresting and disjointed musings.

I'm not saying all blogs are wastes of server space which would be better put to use hosting porn. I'm saying 99.999999999% are.
I don't read a single blog. And I don't plan to start. I bet my life that nothing you will ever post in your blog will interest me for longer than the time it takes me to realize that I have erroneously clicked on a link to your blog.

I'm enjoying reading your blog Synchronous !

Being a fellow Capie, I always look out for locals active online, my Twitter account is used to follow a range of Capetonions, which is an excellent newsfeed for traffic, events, music, and general Cape stuff as well.

I also blog on over at Prophecy, a personal inhouse community blog thinga majiggy.
