In a recent interview with Giant Bomb God of War III’s director of product development, John Hight, revealed that the upcoming PS3 exclusive cost a whopping $44 million to put together. According to him, this also fell within budget for the game.

Just for the God of War series am I tempted to buy a PS3. I sure hope this number 3 sells well for the PS3 and scores well...
