How can i Install Nvidia Drivers on Ubuntu 9.10
i burned the ubuntu 9.10 iso from this month cover disk, installed it and downloaded the nvidia drivers 190.53 but i dont know how to install them. i have a gts 250

1) Did you check for an entry under System>Administration>Hardware Drivers ? - there should be a "restricted" entry here if your card has been detected correctly.
2) Is 190.53 stable on Ubuntu? I though the latest stable was 190.42....
3) When in doubt, always install software using synaptic/aptitude - ubuntugeek has a simple How-to - synaptic packages have been vetted for stability and security, with installation scripts targeted at your particular platform.

there's also these short courses on etiquette, (it's a 2-for-1!)...
oh, and it is pretty common knowledge by now that the users profiles sturat and tribble are contagious spambombs... anyone caught answering their posts faces immediate account suspension and may have rabbit privileges revoked...
