Paypal refund
Sup,
I ordered from an online shop called Pdair and apparently my item got lost so I need a refund. Pdair people have told me that refunds cant be made to South African Paypal accounts. Can anyone confirm this? Also does anyone know of a paypal email address cos their questions thing is stupid.
Thanks in advance

Re: Paypal refund
That is correct, you can not get a refund (ala physical cash). But you should be able to get a Paypal credit.

Re: Paypal refund
I don't understand why they can't just send you the item again.... they must have insurance against lost items, so it's not like they are losing money

Re: Paypal refund
I made the purchase on 29 September 2009. They only realised it got lost towards the end of December after numerous emails. I dont want to have to wait that long again. Just want to get credit back and move on.

Re: Paypal refund
Like Wik said, here in ZA we can't use PayPal for getting payment, but also, like Wik said, pdair should be able to credit you paypal account. That credit though, will be staying there unless you buy something else online.

Re: Paypal refund
Yep, I can confirm what Wik has said. I bought RAM off ebay for my EEEPC when I just got it, and my item never arrived. I got a refund on paypal, but it was paypal credit, so I couldn't really get it back, as such; I had to spend that refund to "get it back".
That guy that used to mod cases. Now I take photos. True story.

Re: Paypal refund
Just an update:
They resent the pouch end of Jan and I got it today. Nice leather pouches. Happy ending.

Glad you were not taken for that trip.
I am very suspicious of sudden "reasons" why deliveries/paybacks cannot be made.

If I buy anything online from overseas I'd make sure it includes physical address delivery via independent courier.

Re: Paypal refund
Im not so suspicious because they never fought me. They just didnt know how to do the refund and then when I said resend the package, they agreed and sent it again immedietly.
