Greetings all,
Ever since i've upgraded to Windows 7 I have been unable to stream live audio, in particular, 5FM.
It first happened when I was using the Win 7 RC and assumed there was a bug in the system somewhere.
However it is still happening with my official release of Win 7
When you first try and load it http://www.5fm.co.za/listen-live-player Firefox indicates that it wants a plugin installed, namely MS Windows Media PLayer plugin for Firefox. So I downloaded and installed it.
The audio player now loads and gives me no errors or anything but it just sits there doing nothing No music, no nothing (yes the speakers are plugged in and switched on )
Thought it may be a Firefox problem but it is the same in IE8 as well.
Has anyone had a similar problem like this before?
Advice/Insults welcome

Well, Windows 7 doesn't like the Flash plugin for me, but I've no idea about audio streaming. That said, I think anything that prevented me from listening to 5FM would be a bonus rather than a bug.

Flash player works fine for me. Now if only this blasted audio streaming would work.
Are you running 64bit OS?

Ja. Flash player downloads, but just hangs on the install. I even tried the manual download. It downloaded a 400MB file which, when eventually downloaded, was "not a valid Win32 application."Screeper wrote:Stuart wrote: I think anything that prevented me from listening to 5FM would be a bonus rather than a bug.
