For what purpose? :? To put on the wall? The msi would look better than the asus. To fend off sarcasm? see which one tastes better.

you won't notice any difference in performance between a p45 and p35 chipset assuming that the asus is also ddr2.

as for the individual boards, read the reviews and see if their are any driver complaints or bios issues on either side.

The MSI board has realtek audio which is better than soundmax on the asus in my opinion. The MSI also appears to have better cooling on the chipsets and as it is a newer board, you have more chance of product support and a replacement under warranty.

The Asus has 3 built in networking ports (ignoring firewire)

I'm going on specs mostly. And an intense dislike for asus. Never used msi products.

So yes, msi in my opinion.

Go MSI. I have an MSI and I have suggested MSI to most people I know when asked for advice last year. Asus has failed me so much in thepast, there is no way they can win back my trust.

I was always a Gigabyte fan but MSI took over as my new favourite.

Thanx guys. I just wish someone had the same msi so they could tell me first hand how the board is. But ill see for my self. Im an asus and msi fan. But the asus onboard sound gives me trouble sometime, as well as with my my, zboard reaper. Hope with the msi there will be none.

No, it's true. But MSI just upped their game and I love their boards. But if I can get a Gigabyte, I will.

And asus isn't? Or xfx or evga for that matter ;) frankly i'll pay the extra for reliability quality and product support.

Msi has some well priced high end boards.
