HD video player software

hello,

I'm looking for a player that can play hd content, VLC is very sluggish when i try to play hd movies and so is nero showtime. So short of buying a faster processor, i found this program "splash" which plays full hd content perfectly with no lagging or distortion whatsoever. The only problem with this player is that it's only available in the lite version which doesn't have spdif output as yet. the pro version which has spdif output is only scheduled to be released in march 2010.

its pointless watching a HD movie in stereo when it has 5.1 dts but the player cant output it as yet.

So is there any other equivalent hd player out there?
