Okay, I´m gonna try to get this off-topic topic back on topic . . .

While I was away, as I said previously, I was monitoring what was going on on this site and I thought to myself:

"These guys are becoming a pain in the r****m with all their arguing, flaming and fighting, bad spelling and atrocious grammar etc etc, so is it worth paying excess baggage to bring back some prezzies? . . . N O ! ! ! "

So I didn´t bring any extras - soooooorry!

BUT!!

How about if I dangle some bait in front of y´all´s beady little eyes?

Is that fair or what? Of course I´ll be sacrificing my precious mementos but what the hey! I want to see this place get better and better!
To get back on topic, how can this site be for PCF alone - there ARE people who buy .net and T3, so what about them, huh?

*heh heh heh* We are now back on topic, I hope.

It´s as Cammie says: PM doesn´t really have anything to do with PCF anymore other than a huge bunch of our readers use the site.

Geez - I go away, and things fall apart. I caught the end of one of the posts on PM, and came here to see what´s going on. What exactly is the gripe, and why have things degenerated to such an extent? The PM forums were started way before PCF´s. Then Cammie launched the PCF forums (to good effect) and when I was still in SA, there was a good, peaceful cross over of users across both boards. What´s happened?

I have to be honest - I´ve been really bogged down with work and have not had much time to monitor PM. I´ve left the board in the very capable hands of Rush (and now Creation too). To my knowledge things have been running really well. Is there anything I can do to perhaps aid things? What exactly is causing this sudden tension? - if in fact it is sudden, and not something that has been develpping fora while now.

Having said that, PM is now an independant site (still owned by me) and there is no affiliation between my site and PCF´s, other than the fact that we have many members that joined when I was still editor of PCF, and have a home where they can interact with other geeks. I´m only too happy to keep the PCF threads going on the site because those are the roots and origins of the site. I´m actually quite thrilled to see that PM is registering traffic in the last few months that we´ve never had before, and that´s just credit to all the board users in SA. So, for what it´s worth - let´s get to the bottom of this - I want to see the PCF and PM boards flourishing and growing. If there´s anything I can do (from the PM perspective) let me know, and let´s put an end to all this bickering.

Loyal PCF readers should in fact be flaming NAG users.

rofl! /me flames NAG

Okay, firstly, This Thread had nothing to do with the flaming between the boards, Damn I didnt even know about them :?

I only suggested it because I am not a big fan of PHPNUke/PHPBoard and I thought that if a PCF board was established a lot more threads wont go umissed, because there are PCF readers that ONLY post on PM cause they dont know about this Board and visa versa.

I just figured a Singuler, PCF Dedicated Board wasn´t such a bad Idea, I mean, Helloooo. I know about the .Net users and stuff but PCFORMAT is a sub-catagory for this PHPNUKE board, why not make a PCFormat Board, where you can host your Dedicated Polls, Discussions, Etc.. It will be much easier, A lot of noobs that type in http://www.pcformat.co.za and see this dont understand the threads cause they dont buy the other stuff.

Just a thought peeps. And please REMEMBER this post had nothing to do with the flaming, I didnt even know about them :/ I mean look at my post numbers
<---- I´m Pretty Much still a PCFORMAt, PM N00Blar mahself...

[ Edited by Recon On Date
July 27, 2003 ]
It´s actually all so funny as all this happened from a stupid little misunderstanding and abit over moderation at PM then undermodartion here!
I hope from this we all learn to check our posts and be fair to all!
Now that the creator has spoken I hope we all can be friends agian!

Hey Guys,

Do they actually have PC´s on Mars??

I´ve never been to the MP forums, I started buying PCFM about 1 yr ago, went to the net in Nov 2002 typed www.pcformat.co.za and discovered these forums.

I do not think that the minority must rule the majority here, so anyone with a broblem go to http://www.complains.com and lodge a complain there and not here on these forums.

I am delighted to see that a couple of people (O-Juice, Madgic, Mars, Cammie and so forth) have managed to defuse a situation that really wasn´t worth any time at all. Both forums are cool and the people that inhabit both are extremely cool.

I have met some really fascinating people, been annihilated by superb players, laughed and generally been supported brilliantly by members of both forums. It would be a real tragedy to lose this. I haven´t participated in the debates as I have been in Canada for the past two weeks but I am pleased to see its over! I think we should have a LAN across both worlds - what a wonder it shall be!
