Go to any store that sell boxes. If you look on the side there's a rectangular cut through the box allowing you to check the serial number. What you're looking for is a 12.1A that will be situated a little left to the serial number. Find that, and, you found a Jasper. It supposedly gold, and, consequently hard to find, though word is quickly flaming around that Look and Listen tend to stock them.
Some stores may also swiftly show you the door with attendants giving you askance stares , but, what's a little awkwardness compared to a decent time of console stability.

Good luck!

Oh yes, my word stems completely from gathered information. Forums, repairmen, websites, etc. Please do research should you feel the need to do so.

Lets say it's not as good as the Jasper.

They usually ship a Zepher to you, and, no, unfortunately, your warranty does not extend.

Depends on your definition of 'goes'

RROD carries a 3 year warranty whereas other failures carry a 1 year warranty. If it breaks down beyond that period you can still swop it out, though it will cost you a good R600.

Depends on your definition of "mindless" I guess. Prototype looks lile mindless button-mashing that makes for good fun.

Decent games are few and far between lately. Hoping Prototype keeps me busy a week. Star Ocean's a 300 hour game (45 minute cut-scene's) so that I'll be playing in bed for a while.

Lol, you and everyone else mate. The game is frustrating. Put it down and take a breather then go back to it if you need to. Mindset helps.

Or play on easy mode, it's unlocked if you die a lot. Nothing to be ashamed of in this game, it's not quite easy either.

It's tough no doubt, but, I'd say that what makes the game all the more charming. Absolutely enjoyed NGII.

Those were my exact sentiments when I first played NG. It was very similar to Megaman. With spine splitting difficulty, the challenge was always fun and rewarding. Still hoping for a X9.

I played the demo. And, perhaps I played it at a rather inopportune time. After NGII. It's nowhere near as good as NGII in the combat arena, though you may want to give it a run if you prefer those 'flashy' one-button-press scenes.

Tacky thread revival. Revival all the same.

So what's fresh out of the box?
