- I must say, you guys almost had me there with the article about the intel larrabee "pre-production" review.
I actually feel disappointed that the Larrabee is not yet as you described it. But as I was reading the article some points you made gave me doubt. The first thing was the amount of cores you mentioned, 128 cores sounded a bit way too much, as only about 32-48 cores were predicted... Then the astronomical 3dmark scores "with very crude drivers". My first thought about the card when I saw the picture was what the hell is up with that ancient cooler? Like that cooler will keep the temps operatable with 128 cores? Then Multi card array. Google that, and you'll get results about USB2.0 card readers and some other random stuff. Actually, google only had one result with "Multi card array" as string, and this result is about a 3TB hdd on a forum. So MCA basically doesn't exist. But the weirdest of all was your price. Only R1000? No way. But the last sentence confirmed my suspicions.

- Intel has kept with the naming scheme that is used with the old Intel i740 and has officially named the new Larrabee-based graphics card the Intel i April Fools
Afterwards I looked more closely at the photo in the mag. It didn't quite look like the design in this image.
Where is the legecy out, audio connector, 2xBSI (whatever that is), and the other auxiliry power connector? Also, where is the 3 additional chips (2x transmitter and AV decode) in the mag photo? But, then again, this is just a concept design without much detail.
Nice one
EDIT:
And it is the first time that I saw something which you rated 99%. And if it's rated 99%, where is the PCF Gold award badge?
Edited the title to not attract too much attention to the peeps who haven't read the mag - Kronos
