Post by tendy »

i work with a company with a variety of OSes installed on the machines, many of which have windows 2000. We haqve been using AVG7.5 all along until it became unsupported (Dec 2008), so i would like to know whic is the best antivirus i could use on the win2k machines without compromising their perfomance.

Or Symantec End point 11.

:D before anyone puts this thread on fire.

I used to hate it! it always caused probs especially on servers. (IIS exchange ect ect)
But the new release of Endpoint (MR4) is a big improvement. And its also not slowing down
the system as it used to.

I never really had virus issues with symantec, just speed problems and symantec tends to stick
its nose into other processes business.

a proper configured Symantec management server does the trick.

We pay +- 13K for 65 users a year. Not too bad.
