You are supposed to register on MS's site to obtain a key. They have their resons. Although you don't pay for it you still need to abide by their terms, conditions and policies. Failure to comply is still regarded as piracy. I am with Ron2K on this one.

True dat. When you request your copy, you have to log in with your windows live Id and then they give you a serial to use with the iso you are downloading. It's still Ms property and when you install it, you still have to agree to the UELA.

There are only a few serials that can be used for the beta as I understand, even though the download limit was removed.
The serials I saw here should work without a problem.
