It's a game, what's wrong with wanting to play a damn game? Yeah, it's not the real thing, in much the same way killing hookers in GTA is not the real thing. Yeah, the accessories are pretty damn expensive and it is pretty stupid that they don't sell each accessory separately (except for the guitar), however the game itself is still great fun to play.

Personally, I play guitar, drums, bass and piano, and that doesn't stop me from enjoying guitar hero.

But at the end of the day, some people prefer to play Guitar Hero because it is easier to do than play an actual instrument, in much the same way I play Tony Hawk Pro Skater because I am incapable of balancing on a plank of wood with wheels.

If you can hang on till March, then apparently you will be able to buy each of the instruments seperately. I plan to get the drumkit, I already have the guitar from GH3. But I might get the GH WT guitar later on as well.

dude, Spring 2009 in the states is March for us... check the GH site... GH Metallica with over 20 artists that Metallica themselves picked to be in the game with them... coming out in March...

i can't wait - it's gonna be awesome and also hectic difficult i would imagine..

there's just something about playing Unforgiven in GH that i would kill for, well, not really but almost.. LoL.. or even Enter Sandman... so many good songs by Metallica it's scary...

Also, GH Metallica is a full band game just like GH WT, and not just guitar, so it's gonna rock!

Hmm I hope they have Metallica's version of Whiskey in the Jar on GH Metallica! And I see all the Death Magnetic DLC for GH 3 and GH WT will be playable in GH Metallica.
