Server 2003 wont give access to linux server

Can anyone please help me with this. I have a linux server running as a file server and DB Server, our main server is a Windows 2003 server and all users can loggin to the our domain and access the linux server from their PC on the local network but when our users log on to the server via remote desktop or terminal server they cant run anything off the linux server even though they can see the files on the server. Only the administrator account can and we have tried to assign one of the users as part of the built in and domain admin groups but to no avail.
