xp woes

okay its like this, whenever i switch on my pc (p4, 352ram, 1.5ghz) it gets to the user login in seconds as it should BUT whenever i log in i have to wait for about a minute for my pc to start functioning. it just stays on the desktop and i can do nothing. its not loading from the hardrive as the light does not flicker and i dont have much taskbar items(about 5). sent a message to louis but it wasnt replied to i even saw someone else having the same problem in the mag but it didnt warrant a response. any suggestions?

Try formatting and reinstalling XP

thanx man but i got it sorted out. just by flook me friend told me that it was my network card causing all the nonsense. <IMG SRC="images/forum/smilies/icon_lol.gif">
