Ron, what happened? Been all twitchy without my daily fix! And a bunch of posts from the last few days seem to have disappeared?

Re: Forum Meltdown
The forum database decided to curl up and die.
We eventually (after much blood, sweat and tears) managed to restore the DB from the most recent working backup - this does mean that any posts made after that are no more.

Hey guys,
I think I can explain what happened here, while Ron keeps working on the DB and getting things going again
The SQL DB did some weird things and needed a restore. Unfortunately this took a little longer than expected from the hosting side of things - hence PCF is only live now. Ron is busy restoring things now back to 100%
Thats as much as I know, hope it keeps you guys happy in the mean time. Im sure Ron will post a more in depth explanation of what happened

Jeff pushed the big red button that says "Do not push" and it knocked out most of the interwebs in SA as well as the forums.

Aw shucks, I was hoping that there would be no backup and that we would all have to start from scratch again. Tribble and I were having fun imagining this.

Next time can we make sure that anyone who's username includes the word "doctor" is removed from the database upon restoration?
