I need help in creating a moving globe in flash

Post by CesarePlay »

I need help in making a moving globe in Flash. I created one and it works ok but not 100% with the picture because once it gets to Australia in my globe it sort of jumps back to the beginning but not smoothly like it should. I tried a tutorial but it did not explain fully where to place the pictures and this is what I think is causing the problem.

This is the first time I am trying to make a moving globe in flash.

Quick question, is your timeline and tweening smooth and evenly spaced out? I'm no expert, but in the module I did I found this was one of my biggest problems.

Yes. I used spaces of 20 in the time line. The problem is the second lot of pictures on where to place them. The tutorial was not clear on that point.

Then I don't know. Like I said, I'm no expert.

Sorry, hope someone else will be able to help you.

Maybe but when I went along the timeline it seemed fine so maybe it is ok. I will see what the client says. The rest of the site is done but this is something I never tried until now. I told them I could not do it but would try so maybe they will like it.

Hi. Neither works. One only gave a swf file which won't help me and the top link opens but then I got a script error. :?

Well if you using a series of images in a time line tween them so thet they fade into each other, I dont have CS3 but it can also be done in MX 2004, the picture at the biggining must match to the picture of the end. If you still getting no joy, make a movie and import it into flash and loop it. Also is your glove rendered fropm a 3D program in frames? Or is it actual pictures taken from something orbiting the planet? If they were taken from something orbiting.. the orbit could have gon slightly out, so what you do is is add in some pictures that where alighned from the beggning until you get the illusion that they were the original sequence, and then tween them up.. :-)
