Will windows give errors or problems when you replace a 478 motherboard with a 775 motherboard without reinstalling windows?

I wasnt gonna answer your post, coz our techie here always says "Um, quick question" and then the sh17 hits the fan

On a serious note though, it depends. I've replaced a mobo and all I had to do was reinstall the drivers... and re activate Windows and I was A for away

Best way to go about it, is to uninstall as many drivers you can (ie Chipset etc) and swap the mobo
Otherwise a repair install works wonders

I've found that you can do it but always have issue to deal with soon enough if you can go for frsh install, if you cant then oh well but prepare to sort lil the gremlins out.

A clean install is really the sensible option here, but like Twiggs said, if that isn't possible then be prepared to iron out glitches.
There are 10 types of people in this world.
Those who understand binary and those who do not.
