Kicked from COD4

I recently purchased COD4

Now i have been trying to play on the SGS servers, but i get kicked out after two minutes with a message that my "cvar value is too high" and it says it is 25k. What does this mean? How do i get it to run? I only bought it for online, and it is going to be a waste if i can't fix it

rate 15000
in console will sort you

well, when i typed it in, mine showed as default 25 000, so i lowered it. Worked and i got promoted after 1 kill. Woot!

I am now level 2 legally, but i used to play a lot at lans and i was lvl 38. But i wanted to play online so i bought the game. (I was just testing it before)

the defualt is 25k our servers run at 10-15k

our servers only recently started running less than default...

the reason for this being that, with some of these types of options, one will experience "different" gameplay...

ie the one setting which some complained about, was that when set to default, would to some make that grass would 'disappear' as you got closer... this got me quite worked up at a point...

same with the 333FPS thing...

SGS needs you to have punkbuster and your rate set lower. I still think some stuff are bull. People see you thru leafs and grass and w/e and all it comes down to is people are playing on lower details making you more visible. So much for higher detail.
