I also find that rather stupid. Saw another trailer for it last night. Boy they have gone all out in promoting it. I really hope it isn't going to be a gigantic let down. Duke Nukem was the game that got me hooked on PCs - before then I was just a user - a graphic artist.

Other women ask me how I can want to play a game with the biggest MCP in gaming history. If it wasn't so much fun - I would probably agree with them. But taken in the spirit of what it is - it is pure awesome. I hope that they have truly kept the gratuitous violence and silly plot line and not gone and made it "sensible". Games like Duke and Doom were great stress relievers. The asinine comments from the lead character is as important as the action. And no - the odd naked female is not going to put me off. I really cannot wait for release date.

People who enjoy the humour or are in it for the nostalgia will possibly get something out of this game. Oh, and 16-year-old boys will probably like it too

In the original DNF there was suppose to be a female support character that helped Duke in some of the stages.



And then the 2001 trailer that used the unreal engine which looked epic at that time. But even then people were talking about it being outdated.

The demo is out and the response is not positive. Among the complaints are that you can only carry 2 weapons due to the Xbox controllers limitations(Don't ask, I'm just reposting what I read). Some also claim that the graphics is outdated.

Some people are really taking this maybe a bit too serious. On NeoGAF some people said they wont purchase the game just because of the 2 gun limit.

Graphics what about it ?.Are gamers back on that narrow minded track, that graphics make or break a game. Hell if half-life 2 was made with the half-life 1 engine it still would have been great....

That's the complaint from everyone. Its Duke. He is a bad bottom. He can carry 15 weapons and kick at the same time. And remember he can kick with BOTH legs! And poke with the middel man

The weapons and lvl design are the killed. Screw the zoom. Bring the guns, chew some bubble gum.

People are up and down about the game. Everyone agrees it was over hyped (damn those 12 years!), graphics are dated, gameplay is more like the old style. A few reviews say despite that the game is fun. And the multiplayer is an after thought (WOOOOOOT FINALLY! A game that doesnt count on multiplayer!).

I'm sure they can mod it that enemies drop health packs and you have unlimited ammo. They should do that. Select modern vs classic playstyle. They wont even have to rebalance. They can just add the mode.

A lot of ppl are enjoying the game. But I watched total biscuites commentary last night and decided I will skip the game for now. Especially after his comment of the worst of old school shooters mixed with the worst of modern day shooters.
