Re: World of Warcraft Thread!
About time. Was wondering when they would show it.
*edit* good trailer though. Loved the part where the human gives the stick to the orc.

This video gave me a chubby. Haven't been this excited since WotLK.

Re: World of Warcraft Thread!
The "let's wipe out Theramore" scenario opens up on Wednesday (EU realms; the day before for US realms but keep the time difference in mind). Need to be level 85 and have a minimum average item level of 353 (blue post) to queue for it.
The scenario will only be available for one week before being retuned to level 90. There'll be some unique rewards and a Feat of Strength for completing it while it's available for level 85.

Re: World of Warcraft Thread!
Yeah I'd like to do that before I completely and utterly abandon WoW for GW2. For the Horde ...? I just don't feel it anymore.

Re: World of Warcraft Thread!
Ran the new 3 man instance (scenario) last night.
I don't get it. Felt like a normal dungeon. We did it with my hunter, a DK tank and war dps. There were some close calls for the tank, but over all it felt very easy.

Re: World of Warcraft Thread!
The fact that I am debating whether or not my pre-order for the CE was a waste of money isn't promising. I ordered it for the extras but I've logged into wow a total of 8 times for the past 2 months. But seeing as I still talk about it it has left its mark on me.

I know what you mean. Forget the CE, in our guild we are debating weather to get MoP at all!

Re: World of Warcraft Thread!
So we went and bought it.
I thinks its a great addition.
The Panda model is amazing! Facial expressions are freakin cool. Spent 20 minutes just performing emotes to see what it would do next.
SO far I like the Monk class and the new areas look great.
Questing is nice too.

Re: World of Warcraft Thread!
Played 15 or 20 quests and a dungeon. I am convinced. I am so over WoW. But the imprint will remain. I will keep talking about it for a good long while as it took up so many years of my life. But will link a youtube vid later to show what I remember of WoW. Speaking of where is Jaina now? Dalaran? Or did she go to Stormwind or something?

Re: World of Warcraft Thread!
While not appearing in-game at this stage, Jaina has been voted in as leader of the Kirin Tor (Rhonin was killed in the mana bomb explosion that took out Theramore). This part of the lore is contained within the Jaina Proudmoore: Tides of War novel.StarBound wrote:Speaking of where is Jaina now? Dalaran? Or did she go to Stormwind or something?

Re: World of Warcraft Thread!
Hehe I remember most of those moments. We raided with 32 people my first MC and I was one of 2 tanks in the raid but we managed. Also remember how we went into ubrs to get the resistance buff for 93 fire resistance. I was a Fury warrior in all of my raids. I never MTed but had a few of those moments where no other tank could get the bosses off me.
Was refering to this trailer btw. Good times.
And just having that music on the title screen.

Ah, crud. My cover is blown. I shall have to revert to my former, more princess-like name.

Re: World of Warcraft Thread!
My 5c:
What is better:
1. Questing. for the first time ever, I am enjoying questing in Azeroth. Why? Because you are never in 1 area for too long. You keep moving, so that one never tires of the scenery. In addition, you are not presented with more than 4 quests at once. This means one does not get overwhelmed frustrated.
2. Graphics. The panda character model is FANTASTIC! The facial expressions are awesome! The design may be "cartoony", but take a closer look and appreciate the attention to detail.
What is worse:
1.The talent tree. You can't actually call it a tree anymore. You basically make 7 decisions. None of them will actually impact your game style.
2. Dungeons. Dungeons in normal mode are un-losable. I have been in a group where the tank quit, and we did fine without him. It is not much better in HC. Only 2 bosses cause any form of stress, the rest are all DPS races. Because of this, dungeons are REALLY boring.

Re: World of Warcraft Thread!
So, on Tuesday night, I was busy tanking Blade Lord Ta'yak, when... CAT AGGRO!
(Much laughter was had on Teamspeak when the rest of the raid overheard me calling across the room for the cat to be taunted off me...)

I'll reply to this a bit later (read: sometime this weekend), as soon as we've finished summarizing the Alliance perspective.StarBound wrote:So what happened? Garrosh went off the deep end? Jaina rejoined the allaince? Dalaran is now Alliance?
