Re: Proposed dropping of TV licence

All of what you've mentioned is true, Sojourn. But, in light of what has happened recently with Eskom and SABC there has been a tremendous amount of public interest, outrage, and just general bashing of these two behemoths., I believe (or rather hope) that this will passively force SABC to make the ...

Re: Proposed dropping of TV licence

People. This isn't as bad as you are all making it out to be. I [mostly] agree with this proposed bill. I will not have to worry about annual renewal, or where I put my tv license if I want to buy a tv, or how many tv's am I allowed to have with the licence I'm using. With this bill, it's all alread...

Re: Bearing children is... Optional?

It is definitely optional to get married and have children in this day & age. Society nowadays affords us these options, and it's ok to not bear children or get married. But, your old-school family at those family gatherings still have the traditional mentality that one *must* get married and ha...

Re: I need a firewall

StarBound, I'd go for Comodo Firewall. I'm using it a home, and it is awesome. Initially, the firewall may be a pain in the a$$, due to it having to learn your apps and habits. But it is easy enough to allow or disallow these popups. Comodo also has a nice "Defence" function which shows yo...

Re: Wow players on this forum.

I was asked why I am quiting wow. The reason is simply that the game is no longer fun to play. More into detail: The game is 5 years old. It takes forever to get to 80 but it doesnt take long to gear depending on your class. The game no longer focuses on questing with other players but rather on wh...

Re: Windows 7 BETA discussion thread

I've been using Win 7 RC for a few months as my primary machine at home, and now the last few weeks primarily at work. I loved it when I first installed it, and I'm still loving it now. It's stable, looks great, and performs a lot better than Vista. I can't really think of any annoyances, other than...

Hmm. Have you tried to telnet your router to make sure the port is open?

I have seen on some routers that you have to open in addition to the forwarding rule.

I might look into this, but I really did not enjoy FM09.

Way too unpredictable, and all the fancy team talks and such didn't help at all.
