I have a nVidia Ti4400 card in my other PC and it can still run all of the games out there at a playable pace. The same can not be said for the 8500 raddy by ATI. Both these cards came from the same era. It makes you think? Don't get me wrong, I am not a nVidia fan, but this is a fact that nobody ca...

I connect with both channels, so 128k, after some time(between 5 and 10 hours) the connection becomes snail like, allthough I am still connected at 128k. It is like having a 1k connection.

OK, If it is the modem, then which one should I get?

Whatever!! IMHO these cards are too pricey anyway. I will wait untill they are cheeper and then get one. I like ATI, but will take the Nvidia card it it is cheaper. The main thing I am looking for is 16 Pipelines on the card.

Dual Layer DVD media

I saw that take two do stock these dvd's, but the price is outragious. R499 for a pack of 5, that is about R100 a pop. I'll rather ceep to the normal 4.7 Gig DVD's, they are much cheaper.

I have played BAttlefield 1942 on 56k, 64k ISDN and 128k ISDN. On 56k it stinks, but it will do if you do not have anything else. Only use the SA servers. The ping is between 200 and 500 on ISDN 64k or 128k it is about the same. Very nice ping between 60 and 80. So I say that ISDN is the way to go f...

Thanks for the reply's guys. I spoke to my ISP and they said that the Duxbury modem is the best bet. I am going for the internal option though.

The reasons:
1. Internal is chaeper
2. Internal is less hassle

Thanks again for your help.
