Thanks Ron2k, just installed Ubuntu 11.04 in Virtual Box and it works perfectly.
Will play around with it until I decide to install it properly.

Linux???
Hey, In my few years of owning a PC I have messed around with Linux once or twice , it has never ended well. The first few times I installed Ubuntu and mint on my second hdd, it was great until it broke my internet in Windows 7. Had to boot from a live cd every time after using Linux. So I stopped u...

Re: Input needed on rig build
That case looks sick!
Your rig is now looking like a beast of an all-rounder.
Glad to see some more AMD fans around here

Re: Input needed on rig build
Hey man, sweet mobo you got on your list there. First thing - you might want to wait for the new AMD APU's to hit SA, you can already get them on newegg - click Sure some guys know when they'll be here. Or if you have to order soon get a cheaper Phenom like the 955 for R500 buks less. It will still ...

Re: Luis Section
I don't agree with all this raging about Luis. A few years ago I would always read his pages as soon as I received a fresh copy of PC Format. It's still the same today. I agree his answers are sarcastic and not always helpful, but that's not what they're intended to be. The ask Luis section is an en...
Re: CPU vcore
Thanks for all the info.
The reason I'm trying to keep temps low is to keep my CPU fan from sounding
like a jet engine. A hyper 212+ is on its way so hopefully that should keep things quiet.
Just wanted to make sure I wont damage the CPU by running it at a low voltage.
Thanks again for the help.

Hey guys
I am trying to keep my temps as low as possible
So do you thing its fine to run my Phenom 1055t at 1.25v (Everything else at stock settings)

Why do women rub their eyes in the morning?
Because they don't have balls.

Shocking PC
Hi Guys Once or twice a month my PC attempts to kill me, and it seems to be getting better at it . It usually occurs near the end of a lengthy gaming session when I touch the case to adjust my fan speed. I get shocked, badly enough to put an end to my gaming. This has been going on for three or so m...

Re: Wireless problem in Windows 7
Hi Ron2K
Sorry for the delayed reply (was on holiday)
I have updated my wireless card's driver but not the router's firmware.
I'll update it tonight and let you know if it helped. I don't have any signal problems (4/5 bars)
and can only see 1 other network.
