Something to think about!

Post by Death_Angel »

Hey everyone!
Read this!

Family

Are you aware that if we died tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family we'll leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.
And comes to think of it, we pour ourselves more into our work than into our familys, an unwise investment indeed, don't you think?
So what is behind the story?

Do you know what the word family mean?
Well:

Father And Mother I Love You!

So just think about that!!

That is a profound thought. We often neglect the really important things in life, as they say familiarity breeds contempt!

Don't Care? Or just to cool to care?

What ppl say isn't always wat they mean.

And besides you dont always appreciate wat you got till its gone (I'm sure theres a song in there sumwhere)

I very much doubt that they really don't care. It's "cool" for teenagers to "hate" their parents. Take their parents away in a car crash and you'll see how long their "hatred" lasts.

Another thing to consider is that it is quite natural for adolescents to clash with their parents. It doesn't mean that they don't care, it's just raging hormones :) Arguing, bickering, and screaming at each other doesn't mean you don't care.

Look I know that most kids 'hate' their parents cos they want to be cool but I know kids that actually hit their parents if they don't get their way...
they control their mother and father like toys...

But hey I'm also a teenager and sometimes I also 'hate' them but no matter what they do to get me mad I'll never hit them...

Luckily I get along quite well with my parents, have always have (Mostly at least)...

I also know of a few people that misuse their parents or disrespect them... Ive seen how they act towards them and its shocking...

The problem in quite a few of the cases are the way the parents bring the children up... Be it that they fight a lot, drink too much or even neglect the children... A lot of the cases are also where parents spend too much time working & never really make quality time with the ones they supposedly 'love' ...

Work has become a disease among a lot of people and this usually is not a good thing...

It's the way they've been brought up by their parents. The parents allow it so the kids take full advantage of the situation. It's sad, really.

Something else to think about:

Against child abuse:

My name is Sarah
I am but three,
My eyes are swollen
I cannot see,
I must be stupid
I must be bad,
What else could have made
My daddy so mad?
I wish I were better
I wish I weren't ugly,
Then maybe my mommy
Would still want to hug me.
I can't speak at all
I can't do a wrong
Or else I'm locked up
All the day long.
When I awake I'm all alone
The house is dark
My folks aren't home.
When my mommy does come
I'll try and be nice,
So maybe I'll get just
One whipping tonight
Don't make a sound!
I just heard a car
My daddy is bavk
From Charlie's Bar.
I hear him curse
My name he calls
I press myself
Against the wall.
I try and hide
From his evil eyes
I'm so afraid now
I'm starting to cry.
He finds me weeping
He shouts ugly words,
He says its my fault
That he suffers at work.
He slaps me and hits me
And yells at me more,
I finally get free
And i run for the door.
He's already locked it
And I start to bawl,
He takes me and throws me
Against the hard wall.
I fall to the floor
With my bones nearly broken,
And my daddy continues
With more bad words spoken.
"I'm sorry", I scream
But its now much too late
His face has been twisted
Into unimaginable hate.
The hurt and the pain
Again and again
Oh please God, have mercy!
Oh please let it end!
And he finally stops
And heads for the door,
While I lay there motionless
Sprawled on the floor.
My name is Sarah
And I am but three
Tonight my daady
Murdered me.

Just a poem to make you all think...

Hehehehe... Yip, this could turn into a real interesting / fun discussion... Lots of possible arguments. This is a real issue in real life that actually does need to be adressed... Its getting out of hand, much as the state in Zim, the crime & AIDS...

We do that as well, but you cannot always ignore the troublesome things in life... Some things bear discussion & contemplation...

If everyone was to ignore the problems such as these they would just escalate & grow...

Nah, sometimes I sleep better when Im mad... But usually its just plain mad... I dont get too mad at other people... irritated, yes, but not real mad... Also, that irritation usually only lasts while the argument, problem persists... usually....

"Try smiling a little more often
And you'll be suprised to find
it takes more muscels to frown.
So, why work overtime?"
