If the forum is to be more active we should do what we did in the past. Back then guys suggested projects for everyone to get involved in, like that gaming project. What happened to that venture anyway?

Maybe we could all put our heads together and hack the NIA database......

if we can do the hack in the next 15 minutes then i'm all for it.

Guests can post! If you are not logged in a post is possible, it will read 'guest' It was DEeRay who voted 7 times as a joke, he used the 'back' button and it apparantly worked!

It seems that I was wrong, some time back you could post as a guest but it seems that with the new site all this has changed. (I tried it)

I tried clearing my cash and posting without logging in. Clicking 'post reply' takes you to the login screen....

[edit] make that cache, not cash. My cash was cleared about four days into the month...

But seriously though, does no one have ideas for projects that all of the forum members can work on or contribute to? I think that will bring back that busy, technical, purposeful feel of the site. It will certainly quell the flow of aimless threads to encourage conversation (though I do enjoy spamming in the "The answer a question with a question game" thread myself ). Maybe professional people like Leigh could give noobs like me a crash course in the art of digital animation over a few weeks. Start off small with a few tricks here and there with software we can all easily access. Then maybe someone else could take over with a course in something else. You know, some interesting how-to's done in a semi formal way like lectures.

I dunno, just a thought. Any suggestions?

Great idea I reckon, something that we can all try something new and people can contribute to the thread with their own creations. Except for those silly kinda "collage" and "super-hero" threads we had, people were too lazy to post their creations or non-creations...

"-steam" command disables steam... it turns it into water vapour!
