"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.

Bwahahahahaha! I'm working on a piece of JavaScript code that will display a random quote for every day - I have found some good ones already.

oooh would like that script - does it trawl the net or do you have to send it to particular pages?

just stumbled upon this gem

May those who
love us, love us
And those that
don't love us,
May God turn
their hearts;
And if he doesn't
turn their hearts
May he turn
their ankles
So we'll know them
by their limping

A small poem I wrote a few years ago:

MENS
Wie besin en sien?
Wie verstaan,
waar ander aan status-speen versuip?
Wie voel en dien?
Wie sal vergaan,
terwyl ander na waarheid gryp?

In pen en verf en klei
geëts wat mond ontwyk,
Begrip maak mens uit dier
en uit die oneindigende
sirkel van vlees en vrees en vuur,
Rede

Thanks! :)

Here is an emo one I wrote, also a few years back (the last one, I promise):

Asem

die asem in my oor,
vermoor, versmoor,
deurboor, verwurg, vertrap,
die man in die onvoltooide skildery

die man verdwyn,
vervang deur gesiglose manekyn,
met skyn-laggende, drek-pratende,
banaliteit deurdrenkte vals sekuriteit,
drogbeeld verwronge, vreemd

een word twee,
in die wêreld gesmee,
twee beelde;
die manekyn,
en die abstrakte nuweling
sonder stem, sonder draaiboek,
vry

Thanks Tribbs! Writing poetry is not really for me though. It is a major effort trying to get something out.

Ah so you are that negative thinker? It may take a while - but the time is well utilized. You should do it more often.

THis is my all time favourite quote. It inspires me and motivates me each time I read it.
It's by Robert F. Kennedy
Few will have the greatness to bend history itself, but each of us can work to change a small portion of events. It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped.

Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.

wait till you have a fat cat sitting on your chest tapping you with her paws(nails) at 4am in the morning as she is hungry....
and then when you do feed her, the other 3 cats awaken and they too want food... :D
