Damn, I am glad scientists can also be wrong. Theres no way the pc would become the centre of home entertainment looking like that. It looks more like some kind of truck with that steering wheel thing. You probably had to turn some kind of crankshaft, you know wind it up, before it would work. Let me also guess, it is powered by petrol, and you need to use a chisel and hammer to input data through a slab of stone :)
when in doubt, paddle out... ;)

Hehe scientists predictions can sure be funny sometimes. One the one hand they thought we'd have flying cars by now, on the other hand, they thought PC's would look like that... 8O

Yuck... what a horrid looking thing!

Thankfully PC's look a whole lot nicer than that actually (and are much, much smaller)!

That THING belongs in the past, not the future - it looks like the first electronic computer ever made.

It might even have vacuum tubes, and the same type of mechanical dials used in the 1960s for output

 i'd say aboot 30 fpm (frames per minute)

:? wow you need a code 14 to operate that

to be techie on that thing you probably need
to be a diesel mechanic, look at those guages,
just checking them is a multitasking operation
in its own rights, overheating also probably caused
the vacuum tubes to explode soo no oc'ing that
baby, so your stuck with +/-10 hz processing power
:!: thank heavens they were wrong :!:

You people have no sense of beauty... I think it would really be cool to have your PC desk full of those old dials. You could hook them up to be your temperature sensors/fan speed sensors/HDD usage/Ram usage/SPU usage. And you could have one of those huge "franksenstien" switches to turn on your computer, and those big square back lit switches to activate fans and lights and stuff. Then you could strip your monitr down and suspend it from the ceiling. No, wait, better yet, set up a dual monitor system in the same way. 8)

It would be like living as some evil genius from a James bond movie...AWESOME!

Good to see you back here Yuna and kewl avatar! Yeah the NAG forums is pretty quiet today. Just the usual bickering and about this whole NAG issue again.. which i think is really getting boring now but anyway...I really like it here though! It feels like at NAG everything is so serious but here you can just be!

I wonder what the purpose of the large wheel on it is?
