Madgic and David

Many of you will recall Madgics posts from a few weeks ago concerning David, her man. He has been battling with cancer for some time now, well he passed away today at around 13:00. This really makes me sad; it was as if I knew him. Madgic, strength and peace to you during this difficult time. All of us here wish you well!

Dear Madgic

I was going to write a frightfully formal post, but the words just did not want to come out right. I know that the rest of the forum feels like I do (expecially those that knows you). Our heartfelt condolences friend.

Sadly Dave lost his battle gainst the cancer. We did not know him Madgic, but to repeat your words "His spirit lives on! he was amazing right to the end.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. You know where to find me and any of the others if you need us.

You and Dave have been in my thoughts constantly and this is truelly a sad day for me and i am sure for many other people on this forum, I believe Dave to be an inspiration to all of us.

Strength to you during your days of hardship and may Dave's memory outlive any of us bound to this mortal plain.

I never know how to handle these situations so I will just say that I feel a deep sorrow for what happend to a person loved by someone I 'know'.

I couldn't say we are friends, but we have exchanged words and I sense you are a good person so it is tragic what you now have to go through.

I will wish you peace and happiness for the future because you will have enough strength and courage to deal with the now. This much I have learnt from our few exchanges.

Thanks a million for your support. It was such an amazing battle that he fought, not only against cancer but also one of faith. His final moments were so rivetting. A look of absolute wonder came over his face - one day I'll come back and tell you more about it but at the moment I have to deal with all sorts of legal stuff so I'm short on time.

I passed on your messages to him and he was overwhelmed at all of it.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

My Mom also had a great loss yesterday - My Step Father passed away after some years of health problems. I'm off to the UK tommorrow to visit my Mom to help her through her difficult time.

I find it hard to understand these things, there's not much you can say about them because of the finality of it all.

Suffice to say that Cy, like your Dave, was full of life and hope and was a wonderful person.

Nothing that one of us writes can take the pain away but at least you can find some comfort in that he is not suffering anymore and moved on to a better place.

But all of you folks' kind words have helped ease my pain and I thank you all for that.

We all will lose loved ones at some time in our lives and as the crazy Doc Jung has said to me: "Surround yourself with friends" and thanks for being there for me and also for Dave.

Hey, who knows? Maybe he's doing some low level recces keeping an eye on us now?
