I don't need an avvie, but do need a company logo!

Was thinking along the lines of running a competition for this week with a say R500 prize to the winner.
Participants post low res and/or watermarked efforts and on Friday a winner gets decided.
I eft Winner moola and winner mails me hi-res, unwatermarked image.

Would you people with the amazing PS skills be willing to participate?

Brilliant idea - but we would like to know what the logo should entail etc. Colours, style, what you want to portray with the logo. And although I know what your business is - you need to tell us about the company so that we can fit the logo to it. I have not done logos for many years but this should be fun.

I would love a new Avvie and sig and I am just no good at designing them. Obviously something with a cat or two in would be nice. I did make New Year ones but am not feeling so fluffy and happy anymore. So something not so cute and happy please.

Yeah, I'm gonna put the R500 into my 22" screens budget

I have been pointed in the direction of a website that sells ready-made logos. Yes, it's cheaper.

So I'm shelving this idea to check that and something else out.
