What is holding my Laptop prison?

Post by Y0da »

It's weird. It was working fine and now when you start it it takes forever to load XP. If you try to do anything it just shows a lot of hard disk activity but takes looong to respond. I disabled everything that I could that load at startup, and niks, nada. The task manager shows very little cpu activity though. It's just the hd that keeps spinning and spinning.

It's an HP Omnibook x6200 with XP professional.

Any ideas guys?

I had the same problem with me Desktop pc, turns out it was the power cable that was going to my HD, I just took the power supply from one of the CD drives and plugged in into the HD and the problem was solved.
Don't know about this on a laptop though, never opened one
