Exchange rate woes

Post by StarBound »

At the start of the month with the R/$ exchange rate sitting around R9 for a USD consumers could have looked forward to a fuel price decrease of 38c or something along those lines. It was a very nice thought. However due to the sudden decrease in our currency value we might even be looking at an increase this time around.

The current trading price for a USD is sitting at R10.18 while the Euro is sitting at R13.27 and the pound R15.50. You think this is shocking? The time the SARB closed yesterday the exchange rate was R9.78 a USD, EUR R12.70 and Brittish Pound was R14.85.

The June/July steam specials aren't looking so special anymore. Seems like those who might be interested in the PS4 and Xbone might pay into the 5 digits if this keeps up.
